It's Done! The oldest barn standing in Warrenton

It was a fun painting because I knew a little about the history of the barn.  I told my daughter I wanted to see if the barn was still standing.  She went and took the pictures and showed me it was still standing.  We then drove by to see it in real life.  It is magnificent! I got very excited about painting this particular barn.  I was glad to paint it because I don't know how long it's going to be standing for people to see.

This barn was used as a seining barn to house horses at the peak of the salmon runs in the Columbia River

My husband remembers when he was a kid people walking the horses by his house on King Street in the 1940's.

It was used to raise pigs during WWII.  Later on it was used primarily for beef cattle.

Wrecked Ship makes for a beautiful painting

One of my favorite subjects has always been the Peter Iredale.  I have painted it a few times.  This one won a blue ribbon in the fair.

Work in Progress

Finished painting awaiting a just the right frame

Next painting is of Willener's old seining barn in Warrenton.  I  am very excited about this one it  will  be a "one of a kind."
It has three peaks and is absolutely incredible.  I believe it's probably the oldest barn in town.
