New Works In Progress
What is the North Oregon Coast without a picture of the South Jetty?
For years I have had a fascination with this house just before Forest Grove going South. The tree is the only thing holding this up. I love it so much I did two paintings of it. I can just imagine years ago what a beautiful farm house it once was.

Portraiture
About a year ago I created this portrait of my granddaughter based on one of her senior photos taken by James Olson. It was my first portrait and we thought it turned out very well!

Judged at the Silver Salmon
Words getting out I did my first judging of an art contest last night at the Silver Salmon Grille. It was their anniversary and every year they have a coloring contest. This isn't any old coloring contest, each contestant gets a sheet of paper about 24X24" and has three hours to use a box of 24 crayons to come up with a drawing worthy of gracing the walls of the SSG. The owners Lori and Jeff then have the first, second and third place winners artwork framed to hang all over the walls of their restaurant. Let me tell you just looking at all the past winners you can tell there is some very talented people out there. Next time your in the Silver Salmon go around and look at all of those beautiful drawings, you would never know it came from a box of crayons.
